Braden Surprenant

Braden, the dynamic voice behind the San Diego Toreros, serves as the captivating play-by-play broadcaster for all ESPN+ televised sports and radio broadcasts streamed on usdtoreros.com. His multifaceted role extends beyond the microphone, encompassing broadcast engineering, interview coordination, and the creation of compelling digital content.

Beyond his contributions to USD Athletics, Braden is a full-time powerhouse at 97.3 The Fan, the San Diego Padres flagship and the city's premier sports station. At The Fan, he not only produces and co-hosts the mid-day show "Annie & Elsten" but also commands his own weekend show, "The Braden Surprenant Show." His versatility shines as he seamlessly fills in across all time slots, and he's even held the reins as the everyday host of the San Diego Padres Pregame and Postgame Shows. Braden's expertise spans hosting, orchestrating remote broadcasts, and crafting engaging digital content and podcasts for various platforms.

Before joining "Annie & Elsten," Braden played a pivotal role in the success of the John Kentera Show, the most prosperous mid-day sports show in San Diego. Under his influence, ratings skyrocketed from a modest 1.2 to an impressive 11.0 in the show's final month. Taking the reins just months before the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, Braden navigated the challenges and consistently achieved impressive ratings, making the John Kentera Show the undisputed number one radio show in San Diego during its time slot.

A key figure in the growth of 97.3 The Fan, Braden kickstarted his career right out of college, contributing significantly to the station's early success. From board operator to the pre and postgame show host for the Padres, he evolved into the official play-by-play broadcaster for the High School Football Game of the Week, solidifying the station's prominence in his hometown.

In addition to his broadcasting prowess, Braden has been coaching football at Cathedral Catholic since 2017, showcasing his dedication and expertise as a defensive back coach, defensive coordinator, and now as a special teams coordinator at the varsity level. Braden Surprenant is not just a broadcaster; he's a dynamic force shaping the sports landscape in San Diego.

Will Galvez

Will cracked the microphone for the first time at the KCR College Radio station at San Diego State University.

After college, he broke into the sports media industry as a studio coordinator for the San Diego Padres flagship station. Parlayed that into becoming one of the producers on the afternoon drive, Gwynn & Chris (hosted by Tony Gwynn Jr, Chris Ello, and Matt Skraby) show.

Bounced back from Earth stopping in 2020 to create and host the What’s on The Menu, Daily? Podcast. Took a blogging sabbatical and was hired as one of the contributing staff writers on the Barrett Sports Media website.

In 2021, jumped at an opportunity in a Top 15 sports market - Phoenix, Arizona - to join FOX Sports 910 as the Executive Producer of The Drive with Jody Oehler.

Will is a fervorous sports gambler. When he’s not wagering on live sports, he’s binging TV series’, watching live stand-up comedians perform, or screaming profanity at a white-dimpled ball in the fairway.
